The Nigerian superstar surrounded himself with his friends from the Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) label for an Afrobeats Rap track.
“Mafa Mafa” is the first song of 2020 for the DMW structure, whose audio was unveiled on March 26th. The title refers to a Yoruba expression that can be translated as “don’t pull it”, repeated by Davido over the chorus. Intensified by Nakademus’ instrumental, the verses are held by The Flowolf, close to the singer, and Peruzzi and Dremo, both signed to his label. Between rap and afrobeats, all spiced up with an energetic choreography, the track strongly reminds us of Naira Marley or Olamide’s style. The video, directed by “Director Q”, features the band in a villa, highlighting their dancing talents on what they know is another hit.
